Drunk driver smacks into motorcyclist on Connector ramp

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - A 21-year-old woman has been booked into the Ada Conty Jail after police say she drove drunk on the Connector and hit a motorcycle rider, officials say.

Boise Police says officers responded to a citizen call of a collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger car Wednesday afternoon on the off ramp of the I-84 connector at Franklin Road.

BPD says Kaylieha D. Nielsen, failed to slow down as she exited the connector and struck a motorcycle ridden by the victim from behind.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries at the time. The suspect, who appeared to be intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
